  The writing is unusually clear.
• Deamer has organized the chapters in his second book on origins of life in a way that enables the non-specialist to read and remember. And, oh yes, enjoy.
• David Deamer updates and expands on his 2009 book, "First Life Discovering the Connections between Stars, Cells, and How Life Began" in 2009. Here, Deamer delves into the past and the future, using his brilliant mind to unravel how early life formed (it's not what we were taught) and invent nanopore machines that can now read your genome on your desktop. If you want to see inside the mind of a genius, and ever wondered how a barren, lifeless planet can give rise to living organisms that thrive all over its surface –– eventually evolving into lifeforms that figure out where they came from –– then this is the book for you.
