• I bought this to prepare for my AP exam, and for the most part, it gives a great general review of european history, and does great explanations of overall concepts. However, I found the information to be very splintered and disorganized within each chapter, with the book's tests disagreeing with the books own statements; for example, In order to get all of the books info on Henry VIII, you have to read the little chapter in review section at the end of the chapter, the paragraph or two about him in the chapter, then read about the anglican reformation somewhere else. It's not unusable, just annoying. The annoying part is when the book will tell you one thing, then something entirely different on their practice tests. According to the chapter, 20,000 people died in the reign of terror. According to the test at the end of the chapter, it was 40,000. The explanation for why it was 40,000 was simply an explanation that 40,000 people isn't alot compared to the holocaust. Also, some of the questions are entirely unlike those of the exam, where very, very specific questions are asked about obscure material. Overall, it's a good book, it has plenty of useful practice questions, charts, graphs, and the review is organized well, and the practice essays are pretty good too. Just make sure you use some other resource when you use it, because their are occasional factual issues.

• I got a 4 on the AP test and I did the practice tests in the back of the book before the test and they were so helpful in preparing. The chapter tests were also really useful to make sure I was understanding the class. Also, Mr. Valentine at Granite Bay HS uses QUESTIONS FROM THE CHAPTER TESTS ON HIS CLASS TESTS SO FYI I JUST SAVED YOUR GRADE
• I didn't begin studying for the AP test until second semester when I purchased this book. I felt like the practice tests were the most helpful and ultimately led to me being able to go through the test at a fast pace while also being accurate. I did buy this in addition to the crash course book in the app store, but everything I remembered from the test is something I remembered reviewing from the book. My younger sister also used this book and scored a 3.
• Although this book contains a lot of information regarding AP Euro, it was very vague. When I took the AP test, I found that this book wasn't very useful because the questions on the test went into a lot more detail. Some of the information however, was useful because when I read a question on the test, the knowledge I acquired from reading this review book allowed me to have some background information regarding the question and helped me eliminate some of the answer choices in order to make a more accurate guess.
